Great World (TE15) is the one the marketing sells, and rightly: the station concourse is the development’s own first storey, and the mall is reached underground. But Havelock (TE16) is 346 metres from the nearest exit, which is a walk most people would make without thinking about it. No document mentions it.

What both official sources actually return
Every school-distance claim on this site is checked in both OneMap’s School Query and MOE’s SchoolFinder before it is published, and the dataset date is recorded. For River Modern, both returned the same thing: nothing.
No Home-School Distance record, from either source, for any of the three addresses
Queried at 13 Sep 2026 9:25 PM (GMT+8), OneMap’s School Query returned the literal string “No result found.” for blocks 5, 7 and 9. MOE’s SchoolFinder returned an empty result set for the same three, one minute later. In both services, a control address queried in the same minute answered normally, returning Bukit Timah Primary School at distance code 1 — so the services were healthy and the absence is real.
OneMap’s own disclaimer explains it: Home-School Distance is computed from the building outline in the building plan submitted by the Qualified Person. River Modern’s building plan approval, A1716-00044-2025-BP01, is dated 27 January 2026, and the published table was built in June 2026. The next build is June 2027 per OneMap and May 2027 per SchoolFinder.
So the distance was measured instead — and it is 121 metres
River Valley Primary School’s registered address is 2 River Valley Green. River Modern’s are 5, 7 and 9. They are neighbours on the same road, and the school’s land boundary measures 121 m from OneMap’s point for the development. The school’s own published building layer codes 1,058 outlines as within 1 km of it and 3,875 as 1–2 km; River Modern’s outline is in neither, and the nearest outline that is coded within 1 km sits 85 m away. Everything measurable says inside the kilometre. The only register that decides a Primary 1 ballot has not said it yet.

GuocoLand’s release names River Valley Primary, Anglo-Chinese School (Junior), St. Margaret’s School (Primary) and Alexandra Primary. All four are inside 2 km. So are two more it does not name — Zhangde Primary at 1,304 m and Cantonment Primary at 1,923 m. The list is six, not four.
Two of the six matter more than the others from 2027
Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) and St. Margaret’s School (Primary) are both on MOE’s list of twelve schools whose Phase 2C splits into a within-2 km and a beyond-2 km track from the 2027 Primary 1 registration exercise. Both measure inside 2 km of River Modern. Because neither official source holds this address yet, that is a measurement rather than an official band — so it is stated as one.
